He was predeceased by: his son Bill; his parents, Harvey Wooten and Millie Blanch Wooten; and his siblings, Wilton, Perry, Nora Lee and Anna Mae.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Wooten (Bolin); his children, Brenda Murray (Phillip) of New York, Barbara Trinh (Jeff) of North Carolina, Brent Wooten (Susan) of Maine and Bryan Wooten (Ubeny) of Colombia, SA; and his sister Opal Woods of Mississippi. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
