He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie James McMath and Lourine; his cousin Williams; his spouse Evangelist Shara Mae McMath; his grandparents, Early and Annie Mae Crew; his grandson Corey Shropshire; and his siblings, Charles McMath, Willie Frank McMath, Denver McMath, Betty Brown and Bertha Alford.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lynietra Owens Jr. (Pastor Walter), Vonquieneti McMath and LaQuontia McMath (Sam Lingo); his grandsons, JeHoshuah Johnson, David Green Jr., Kane Shropshire and Tommy Shropshire; his great grandchild Lydia; and his siblings, Jerry McMath (Joan) of North Dakota, Dennis Williams and Mary Carr. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the John P. Franklin Funeral Home (1101 Dodds Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery (1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404).
