She was predeceased by: her former husband Leonard Clarence Stephens Jr.; her husband James "Jim" Chattin; her parents, Grady Monroe and Hazel Irene Schmitt Blackwell; her sons, Leonard Michael Stephens and Anthony "Tony" Stephens; her stepchildren, James Michael Chattin and Kay Thomas; and her brothers, Calvin Blackwell, J. C. Blackwell and Marlon Blackwell.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Kathy Chattin of Chattanooga, TN. and Stephannie Chattin of Knoxville, TN.. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
