He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Jesse Harvey and Mary Harvey; and his siblings, Connie Harvey, Don Harvey, Joe King Harvey, Mary Harvey, Jessie Majors, Patricia Buchanan, Lynn Frazier and Teresa Singleton.

He is survived by: his wife Estella Harvey; his children, Colonel Brian Harvey (Andrea) of Okinawa, Christopher Harvey (Shawni) of Ashburn, VA and Michelle Lee (James) of Forest, VA; his grandchildren, Arlandis Harvey (Bridget), Brian Michael Harvey II, Gavin Harvey, Mathew Harvey (Federica), Bryson Harvey, Jaren Lee and Maya Lee; his siblings, Evelyn Cleveland, Ann Buchanan, Jesse Harvey (Faye), Ronald Harvey (Grace) and Ricky Harvey (Freda); and his brother-in-law John Singleton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, his church family, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Chattanooga Food Bank, The Chattanooga Community Kitchen, or Salvation Army or any person you meet that is in need.
