Melda Daughtrey Newman Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melda Daughtrey Newman of Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on November 4, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Roy Daughtrey, Sr. and Pauline Archer Daughtrey (Polly); and her husband William D. Newman, Jr. (Bill). She is survived by: her sons, Scott Newman (Betsy) of Harrison and Gary Newman of Chattanooga; her siblings, Dortha Ann Bradley of Soddy, Jean Johnson of Soddy and William Roy Daughtrey, Jr. (Butch); her grandson Chris Newman of Harrison; and her great grandchild Madyson Newman of Hixson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
