It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melba Silvey of Chattanooga, Tennessee, born in Dalton, Georgia, who passed away on June 14, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Spencer Fisher and Mary Alise Davis Fisher; and her husband J. B. Silvey. She is survived by: her daughters, Glenda Elliott White and Dodie James (A. L.); her stepchildren, Emma Jo Davis, John Silvey (Nancy) and Noel Silvey (Janice); and her grandchildren, Shelly Perry (James), Kris Coulter, Kelly Elliott and Chad Elliott. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; many other relatives and friends.
