It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of McAline Davis Shelton (Chattanooga, Tennessee), who passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Davis and Arnestine Davis of Dillsboro, N. C.; and her husband Luther A. Shelton. She is survived by: her sons, Alvin W. Childers, Jr. (Janet) and Michael J Childers Sr.; her grandsons, Christopher Childers (Amanda) and Michael J. Childers (Dawn); her great grandchildren, Deaton, Emma, Lucas, Marie and Michael J. III; and her extended family, James and Ginze Newman.
A graveside service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery (1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404).
In lieu of flowers McAline request donations be made to Tyner United Methodist Church.
