She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Hureschal J. Sandidge; her siblings, John Schmitt, C. J. Schmitt Jr. and Lee Schmitt Brown; her parent C. J. Schmitt Sr.; her children, Steven Sandidge (Vanessa), Dewayne Sandidge, Kevin Sandidge (Carrie), Tim Sandidge (JoAnn) and Lisa Carden (Jim); and her sisters, Donna Wooden and Grace Denton. She was also cherished by 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, T. C. Thompson Children's Hospital, Ronald McDonald House at Erlanger, Morris Hill Baptist Church, or the Gideon's Bible Ministry.
