She was predeceased by: her parents, John Arthur and Letha Ables Bates; and her husband John "J. D.". She is survived by: her children, John "Doug" Love, Sr., Robert W. "Bobby" Love (Johnnie) and Melony Breakey (Scott); her granddaughters, Candace Love and Kate Love; her sisters, Nancye Alloway and Mary Jim of Knoblough; her grandson Robert Wesley Love, Jr.; and her brothers, John Henry Bates and Herbert "Duper" A. Bates. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
