It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Ree Townsend of Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on March 25, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom H. Woods and Lula Woods; her husband Little Ed Townsend; her son Jeffry A. Woods; and her grandchildren, Karnesha L. Hamilton and Adam S. Roberson.
She is survived by: her children, Valerie Jennings (James "Rabbit") of Chattanooga, Lula Mathis of Chattanooga, Audrey "Lady" Henry of Tyler, Theodore "Edgar" Hamilton (Veronica) of Chattanooga, William "David" Hamilton of Chattanooga and Dwight Hamilton of Tyler, Texas; and her siblings, Thomas Woods, Jr. (Dot) of Stevenson, Alabama, Thelma Jackson (Robert) of Atlanta and Angela "Penny" Woods of Chattanooga, Tennessee. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
