He was predeceased by: his parent David F. Puryear; and his siblings, Frank Puryear and Dorothy McCollum. He is survived by: his parent Ivy Rowley Puryear; his wife Corena Morrell Puryear; his children, Michael Puryear (Jan Binkley), Jan McBryar and Marty Puryear; and his siblings, Eston Smith, Don Puryear, Thon Puryear, Doyle Puryear, Eloise Stevens, Tommy Puryear and Billy Puryear. He is also survived by six grandsons, two granddaughters, five great-grandchildren (Henry Lewis on the way) and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital or Lana's Love Foundation.
