With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leona Cunningham Culpepper of Chattanooga, Tennessee, born in Huntsville, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 27, 2024 at the age of 105. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sanford Alexander Cunningham and Cora Elizabeth Woody Cunningham; and her siblings, Allean Elrod, Sanford Cunningham, Jr., Larry W. Cunningham, Geneva Hughes, Bernice Barlew and Elnora Beene.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas E. Culpepper and Rebecca Rainwater; and her sister Margie Cheatham. She is also survived by two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home (7454 E Brainerd Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Services (7454 E Brainerd Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421). A burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Chattanooga Memorial Park (501 Memorial Dr, Chattanooga, TN 37415).
