She was predeceased by: her niece Caitie McLarty. She is survived by: her spouse James David Powell; her grandchildren, Mary Montague Bell and Frank Hutcheson Bell, Jr.; her brothers, Steve McLarty (Donna), Kenny McLarty (Cara) and Bo McLarty (Missy); and also Megan Powell Bell. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences ' Myeloma Institute.
