Kate Gerbitz Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kate Gerbitz of Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on January 3, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Martha Hill Bell and Robert Fulton Bell; her siblings, John Fulton Bell (Shirley) and Roberta Frances Bell Temple (John); her brother-in-law Leroy Mark Yokley; her niece Martha Lee Temple Todd; and her parents-in-law, June Adele Wilder Gerbitz and Edward Joseph Gerbitz.

She is survived by: her husband Gary Daniel Gerbitz; her daughters, Leah and Leslie; her son-in-law Robert Randall Sharpe; her grandchildren, Emeline Marie Sharpe, Grady Daniel Sharpe, Kate Bell Becksvoort and Jane Adele Becksvoort; her sister Mary Alice Bell Yokley; her sisters-in-law, Gay Doreen Gerbitz Gould (Seal) and Gloria Dawn Gerbitz VanNote (Chattanooga); and her nieces and nephews, Teresa Kindred (Bill), Michael Temple (Renee), Mark Yokley (Lisa), Robert Bell (Kelly), Russell Yokley (Talitha), Ed Temple (Susie), Daniel Yokley (Lori), Chad Rikard, Cory Rikard, Courtney Holcombe (Doug) and Brent Waitneight.
