It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph Fauntleroy of Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on September 6, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Fauntleroy and Mamie Fauntleroy; his brother Frank Eugene Fauntleroy; and his brother-in-law Bobby Ray Cole. He is survived by: his wife Billie Pickett Fauntleroy; his sister Neldarie Fauntleroy Cole; his sister-in-law Rebecca Louise Fauntleroy; his sons, Joseph (Joey), Leslie Fauntleroy, Jr. (Donna), John Leland Morrison (Christine) and Michael Kevin Morrison; his grandchildren, Morton Crowell (Trey), Cole Lee Fauntleroy, Joseph Hunter Fauntleroy (Erin), Victoria Grace Morrison and Heather Alexis Morrison; his stepgrandson Matthew Yetman (Michelle); his great grandchildren, Natalie, Hunter, Kase Fauntleroy, Camden and Ava Claire Lloyd; his nieces, Lisa Fauntleroy Moore and Patrician Lynn Cole Hollaway; his nephew Mark Cole; and his great-nieces, Chelsea Dawson, Abi Long (Tyler), Cameron Dawson, Allyson Hollaway and Ashley Hollaway.

The family has requested those attending the visitation and service to please wear face masks.

“I don't know why I was thinking of the Rev - not having seen him since Camp Overton in July 1973 - but I was tonight....and I am sorry I was too late. I have always remembered him. A wonderful and cheerful man of God. One of the last things I ever heard from him was that us campers will never all be together again, but can be in heaven. I look forward to it.
