It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John R. Griffin of Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on November 9, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John R. Griffin to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his father Jonathan E. Griffin; and his wives, Sara Emanuel and Dr. Carmen Allison Smith. He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryle (Joe Miller), Angela (Morris Bryan) and Melanie (Scott Gentry); and his stepdaughter Donna (David Harmon). He is also survived by six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hearth Hospice of Chattanooga or Brainerd Baptist Church Benevolence Fund or Harvest Offering.
