He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Nale and Jean Nale. He is survived by: his wife Kaye Creech Nale; his stepdaughters, Donna Saylor (Steve) and Julie Smith-Krall (Edward); and his siblings, Mark Nale (Gale), Paul Nale (Sandy), Frank Nale, Mary Bradley (John), Melissa Hodan and Kateri McGaw (Tim). He is also survived by five step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
