He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kidwell and Helen Kidwell (Bennet); and his stepparent C. E. James. He is survived by: his wife Doris; his daughter Kelly Rimer (Jim); his grandchildren, Kristen Terrette (Ashley), Jackie Burk (Joey), John Rimer (Hannah), Anna-Carson Uhelski (Graham) and Eric Rimer (Logan); and his stepsiblings, Tommy James (Phyllis) and Carole Porter. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to Stuart Heights Baptist Church/Honduras Missions or St. Jude's Children's Hospital in his honor.
