He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Brown Ellis; his sons, Bryan, Paul and David (PhD); his grandchildren, Caroline, Hannah, Griffin, Haden, Sawyer, Jack, Julia and Gretchen; and his sister June Dykes. He is also survived by her two children and her grandchild.
