It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joann McDurmin Upton of Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on November 29, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Robert E. Upton; her son Craig Upton; her grandson Michael Garner; her great grandchild Draven Fleming; and her brother Gene McDurmin.

She is survived by: her son Robert Upton (Pam); and her grandchildren, Tony Upton (Melanie) and Brooke Shirley. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, and several nephews and nieces.
