He is survived by: his wife Lou Macon Gibbs; his parents, Ruby Mae Jones Gibbs and Thomas Arthur Gibbs; his sons, Daniel Macon and Jeffrey Gibbs, II; his granddaughter Mila Hammonds; and his brother-in-law Michael Bryant of Chattanooga, TN. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
