It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeannette Thorpe Shawen (Chattanooga, Tennessee), who passed away on June 9, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford A. Thorpe, Jr. and Mary Highsmith Thorpe; and her brother Lee A. Thorpe. She is survived by: her husband Edgar M. Shawen; her children, Edgar T. Shawen and Elizabeth Shawen Underwood (Derek); her stepmother June Thorpe; her siblings-in-law, Adrienne Thorpe and Neil Shawen (Liz); and her nieces, Alicia Thorpe, Leslie Crabbs and Jill Goldberg.
