With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Gilbert Moon of Chattanooga, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 17, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Benjamin; his siblings, Paul Moon, Wallace Moon, Raymond Moon, Thurman Moon, Benny Moon, Mavis Goodner and Estelle Scoggins; and his son-in-law Del Ottinger.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Rogers Moon; his children, Karen Stillwell (Terry), Jamey Moon (Gwen), Dana Merriman (Bob) of Cleveland, GA and Kristi Quave of Dayton, TN; his grandchildren, Brandy Coats (Billy), Jenny Ottinger, Kelsea Mullins (Andrew), Kayla Moon, Campbell Merriman and Collier Merriman; and his great grandchildren, Madison Doty, Sydney Coats, Emma Coats and Pax Mullins. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Services (7454 E Brainerd Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
