He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Baustin and Beatrice McHone Sanders. He is survived by: his siblings, Betty McNabb, Frances Sewell and Willard Sanders; his wife Patricia Hagan Sanders; his children, Regina Smith (Jamie) and Larry Sanders (Angie); his granddaughters, Macie Sanders and Brittany Hardy (David); his great grandchildren, Boston and Grant Hardy; his grandson John Wesley Higginbotham of Lowell, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Susanne Hagan of Soddy-Daisy, TN, Rita Minkin of San Diego, CA, Susan Hagan and Bud Sewell of Chattanooga, TN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, supporting opportunities for children in need, in whatever way the heart would compel those who knew him, would be the kindest of ways to remember Jim.
