He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Monroe and Mary Elizabeth Henry Rice. He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Dawn Lindsey Rice; his children, Zane Rice of Section, AL., Sommer Dingler (Thomas) of Ooltewah, TN., Crystal Rice of Chattanooga, TN. and Brittany Castellano (Nick) of Ellijay, GA.; his siblings, ReVonda Howard (John) of Soddy Daisy, TN. and Eddie Dale Rice of Section, AL.; and his grandson Colton Guy Rice.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to New Friendship Baptist Church.
