She was predeceased by: her parents, Ollie Ruth Zackery Scott and George H. Scott; her sister Willie Bell Burnett; and her aunts, Annie Mae Harris and Ernestine Pitmon.
She is survived by: her daughters, Helen Scott, Shirley Hale, Sr. (Bossie) and Connie Johnson; her siblings, Linda Moore of Chattanooga, Elizabeth S. Wynn of Chattanooga, Pearlie Mae Freeman of Chattanooga, Willie Bacon (Diane) of Nashville and Tommy Poindexter of Indiana; her grandchildren, Corey Scott, Melinda McElroy and Bossie Hale, Jr. of Chattanooga; and her friend Elaine Daniel. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; a host nieces, nephews, friends.
