He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Gunnels and Kathleen Gunnels; and his great grandchildren, Jayda Harvey and Devin Thurman. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Gunnels; his children, Mark Gunnels (Kassie), Michael Gunnels (Linda) and Connie King (David); his grandchildren, Kaislyn, Jamie, Stephanie, Adam, Nicholas and Justin; his great grandchildren, Chase, Jasmine, Stevie, Piper, Dean, Andie, Grace, Logan and Vada; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Caden, Stacy, Jerry, Sonya, Andy and Kennye; and his sister-in-law Marlene Goggins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM at the Turner Funeral Home (3913 Webb Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37416). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the same location.
