He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lee and Grace Crowder Bookout; his son Charles Lindsay Bookout; his siblings, Chester Bookout and Louise Davidson; and his parents-in-law, Virgil and Frankye Lindsay.
He is survived by: his wife Peg; his daughter Alice Bookout Barlew Graham (Leon); his grandson Jared Barlew (Kelly); his great grandchildren, Lindsay Warner (Jacob), Allison Barlew (Conner), Kyle Bowman and Jake Card-Johnson (Robert); his grandson Jordan Lindsay Barlew; and his sister-in-law Diane Bookout.
