With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Guy Cowden Sr. of Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on February 19, 2025 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Cowden and Frances Cowden (Arnold); his wife Marilyn Cowden; his brother Frank Cowden; his stepsons, Bobby Westerwal and James Westerwal; and his son-in-law Martin Rightmire.
He is survived by: his children, Gene Cowden, David Cowden (Ella) and Pam Day (Chris); his stepchildren, Randy Westerwal (Mary) and Sherry Rightmire; and his siblings, Susan Stinnett (Freddie Kirkpatrick), Carol Cowden and Buddy Cowden (JoAnne). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (5201 Dayton Blvd, Chattanooga, TN 37415). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
