He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Thomas Sr. and Julia Sparkman King; and his siblings, Charles Thomas King, Jr., James E. King, Walter A. King (Buddy), Crawford L. King, Willie Mae Collins, Martha Frances Durham and Edna Ruth Kennemore.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Vassey King; his children, Valorie A. King (James Bowen), Stacey G. Kennedy (Ralph) and Brian Keith Bettis (Stephanie); and his brother George R. King (Doris). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and various nieces and nephews.
