He was predeceased by: his parents, Odie Garrett and Mamie Irene Garrett; and his great grandchild Madyx Shane Hale. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn "Cindy" Brown Garrett; his daughters, Monica (Michael Jones) and Vickie (Eric Holloway); his granddaughters, Brittany (Brandon Hale) and Taylor (Brice); his great grandchild Masyn Wayne; his siblings, Patricia (Billy Lyons) and James Lee Garrett; and his brother-in-law Robert Weatherford.
