George Alexander Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Alexander (Chattanooga, Tennessee), born in Menlo, Georgia, who passed away on August 5, 2018, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent James Leroy "Roy"; his brothers, Hamilton Alexander and Joseph Alexander; and his nephew Richard Alexander. He is survived by: his parent Mary Elizabeth Freeman Alexander; his wife Lea Hood Alexander; his stepchildren, Diane Sitton (Doug), Victor Hood (Pam) and Benton Hood (Wanda Beebe); his sister-in-law Mary Ruth Alexander; his niece Mary Ellen Alexander; and his nephew Robert Alexander. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made in Mr. Alexander's name to the Alpine Cemetery Fund or to the local hospice center of your choice.
