He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Dean and Hazel Dean; and his sisters, Dod Barnes, Vera Sue Dean and Authorine McMahan.
He is survived by: his wife Naomi; and his daughter Rena Stephens (James). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
