He was predeceased by: his parents, Fobbus Yancey and Rowena Yancey (Pike). He is survived by: his wife Robyn; his children, Joseph and Sarah; his grandson Monoa; his siblings, Sarah Lou Bakken (Pat), Pam Yancey, Jack Yancey (Carol) and Mike Yancey (Lori); his cousin Frank Pike; his caregiver Carol Standifer; and his cousin Chattanooga. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
He loved going to the YMCA, and in later years exercising with the Rock Steady Boxing program for Parkinson's sufferers.
