He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazle Hanson and Elaine Barran Hanson; and his siblings, Judy, Sara Anderson, Jimmy Hanson and Larry Hanson.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Clay Hanson; his children, Katrina Merriman (Bart) of Cleveland and Timothy Hanson of Chattanooga; his grandchildren, Shaun Hanson of Chattanooga, Jesse Hanson of Ringold, GA and Daniel Merriman (Eryca) of Cleveland; and his great grandchild Addison Merriman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
