He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Shipp and Lena Cope Shipp; his wife Charlotte Frazier Shipp; and his siblings, Doris Neese, Melvin Shipp, Sidney Shipp and Wilbur Shipp.

He is survived by: his daughter Karla Williams; his grandchildren, Roger Williams, III and Dale Edward Williams; and his great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Nathan Williams.
