With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ernestine P. Hawkins of Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on March 31, 2021 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Peyton and Dorcas Peyton; her husband John Ross Hawkins, Sr.; her siblings, Charles Peyton, Evelyn Louise Peyton, Charlotte Peyton, Mary Diehl, Patricia Hastings, Virginia Peyton and Pauline Ovington; and her grandson John "Nick" Hawkins.
She is survived by: her son John Ross Hawkins, Jr. (Nena); her siblings, John David Peyton and Ruth Caruthers; and her grandchildren, Thomas Ross Hawkins (Michelle), Shannon Batzloff (Rob) and Chad Hawkins (Katelyn). She is also survived by ten great grandchildren; six great- great grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.
