It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Cato (Chattanooga, Tennessee), born in Madison, Alabama, who passed away on October 15, 2018, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Cosey and Nannie Petty; her husband Leroy Cato; her brother James Cosey; her aunt Mary Lou Jones; and her niece Venora Borgne.
She is survived by: her daughter Teri Renee; her sister Nannie Katherine Cosey; her sister-in-law Cora Cosey of Chattanooga; and her grandchildren, Shawnterra M. Parmes (Michaela Palmer), Laneisha K. Cato (Donyeal), Tyraka N. Cato (Madison), Kreesha T. Cato (Jeremy), Jakai K. Strickland and Travis Smith. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, best friends, Lucillle and Pearl, other relatives and friends.
