It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elmer Ellis Jr. (Chattanooga, Tennessee), who passed away on January 7, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer A. Ellis, Sr. and Margaret Stiff Ellis; his wife Billie Ruth Ellis; and his daughter Kim Pettit. He is survived by: his significant other Bob Elmore; his son Gary Ellis (Karen); his grandchildren, Mandy Lambert (Brent), Josh Ellis (Brandy) and Corey Pettit; his great grandchildren, Alex Ellis, Abigail, Perrin and John Carter Lambert; and his brother Jack Ellis (Irene).

He was instrumental in getting the Brainerd tennis courts started as well as the Cumberland Youth Foundation.
