She was predeceased by: her husband John D. Hurst; her parents, Jack Woodfin and Mary Woodfin; and her siblings, Dot Teague and Jim Woodfin.

She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Gibson (Chuck) and Sandy DeSha (Randy); and her grandchildren, Trisha Eldridge (Jason), Nick DeSha (Jennifer), Megan (Nick), Werssowetz, Morgan Jones (Josh), Chance DeSha, Olivia Wilson, Ellie, Hailey Jones, Jake, Lily, Zack and Sophia.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the charity of your choice in her honor.
