Dino Balamos Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dino Balamos of Chattanooga, Tennessee, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Dino shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Dino farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dionecia Balamos (Safaris) and Dino; his wife Mary Balamos; and his siblings, John Balamos and Bess Greanias.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Balamos (Bernard Shell) of Santa Monica, CA and Katherine Balamos Ganley (James Ganley) of Chattanooga, TN; and his granddaughters, Grace and Rose Ganley. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home - Decatur (2827 N Oakland Ave, Decatur, IL 62526). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church (570 N Union St, Decatur, IL 62522).
