She was predeceased by: her parents, William Andrews Davenport and Sally Mae Davenport; her sister Evon Davenport; and her brother-in-law Willie Houston. She is survived by: her daughter Wanda Michelle Barber (Stephen); her grandchildren, Carmen Barber and Christopher Barber; and her siblings, Michael Andrews Davenport, Marvin James Davenport, Brenda Joyce Clifton, Gwendolyn Davenport Gatley (Alvin Lee, Sr) and Sonja Davenport Houston. She is also survived by 3 nieces, 2 nephews; 7 great nephews, 3 great nieces; 1 great-great nephew and 1 great-great niece.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made in the name of Carmen Barber to Southern Adventist University, 4881 Taylor Circle, Collegedale, TN, 37315, and in the name of Christopher Barber to Georgia Cumberland Academy, 397 Academy Drive, Calhoun, GA, 30701, Attn: Business Office.
