It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deborah Daugherty of Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on September 16, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles DeForest and Wilda Rhea Ewton Cummings; her grandmother Beatrice Sherill; her brother Mark DeForest Cummings; and her granddaughter Miranda Pace.

She is survived by: her children, Melody Smith (Chris) and Michael Clark (Jennifer); her sister Angela Lively (Lonnie); her grandchildren, Marcus Pace (Kayla), Mika Clark (Emily), Mason Daugherty, Madalane Clark and Mattix Childs; her great grandchildren, Maclain "Charlie" Pace, Mattie Rhea Pace, Sutton Pace, Sammie Pace, Henley Pace and Jayce Zearfus; her granddaughters, Jordan and Sophia Venable; her former husband Rodney Daugherty; her son James Michael Clark, Sr.; and her caregiver Ann Shadwick. She is also survived by several nieces, cousins and other extended family.
