He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. "Dickey" Smith and Ellen Smith (Philpott); his father-in-law Robert "Bob" Sherrill; and his nephew Heath Smith. He is survived by: his wife Angie Smith (Sherrill) of East Ridge, TN; his children, Erica Smith and Gray Smith of East Ridge, TN; his siblings, Linda (Smith), Stone (Johnny) of South Pittsburg, TN, Gary Smith (Deb) of Signal Mountain, TN and Doug Smith (Donna) of South Pittsburg, TN; and his mother-in-law Patsy Sherrill of South Pittsburg, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home (400 Laurel Ave, South Pittsburg, TN 37380). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
