He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Shropshire Womble and Lee Andrew Womble. He is survived by: his wife Rochelle; his sons, Shannon (Teresa) and Bernard (Robin); his siblings, Kathryn, Jimmy (Arzilla), Eddie B. (Marie), Gwen (James), Andrew (Seleste) and Sheldia Ann (Michael); and his grandchildren, Donovan, Breniaha (Jaylen) and Summer (Madison). He is also survived by two aunts and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
