With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Worbington in Chattanooga, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 18, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Lee Worbington and Ruby Leona Worbington; his wife Janice Worbington; and his sisters, Etta Lee Preston and Lucille Locklin.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Worbington (Daphne), Stasey Worbington (Fonda), Markella Hampton (Cecil) of Chattanooga, Johnnie Presley of Florida and Patricia Hinsinger of Chattanooga; his grandchildren, Amanda Coleman, Kenneth Worbington, Sermo Worbington, Cecil Hampton, Jr., Danielle Hampton, Shellie Hampton, Hunter Jamerson and Jaimesha Worbington; and his sisters, Charlotte Benford (James) and Sylvia Howard. He is also survived by 14 great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the John P. Franklin Funeral Home (1101 Dodds Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
