He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert "Red" Manis and Annie Ruth "Penny" Parks Manis; his wife Gudrun McBryer Manis; his daughter Tori Manis Milen; his siblings, Jerry Lamar Manis and Brenda Louise Thomas; and his stepson Billy McBryer.
He is survived by: his daughters, April (Garry Van Jaarsveldt) and Rebekah Sampson of Dalton, GA; the mother of his children Linda Mizzell of Dalton, GA; his grandchildren, Zackary Manis, Payton Foster, Cailtin Foster, Kyson Manis and Marquette Sampson III; his close friend Betty White of Chattanooga, TN; and his stepchildren, Ralph McBryer and Jenni McBryer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
