He is survived by: his wife Lee Weigel Patten; his granddaughter Annabel Cartter Neal; his daughters, Ashlee Bryan Patten (Colleen Donovan Carboni), Bethany Patten Neal (Kenneth Alasdair Neal) and Avery Cartter Patten Barron (Michael Shane Barron); his brother Worcester Allen Bryan Patten; and his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Gwynn Perdue, Lynn Patten Casey, Elizabeth Patten Casey, Kathleen Caldwell Patten, Sarah Caldwell Patten, Nowland Bennett Gwynn and William Allen Bryan Patten.
