She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Scruggs and Era Scruggs; and her grandson Christopher Goodine. She is survived by: her daughters, Erica Scruggs (Tracy) and Karen George (Christopher); her grandchildren, Ben George and Tamera Roberts; her brothers, Benny Scruggs (Gearline), Rev. Roland Scruggs, Sr. (Dorothy) and Wayne Scruggs (Julia); and also, Roberta Oglesby, Frances Scruggs, Terryl James, Faith Edwards and Deborah Lee-Eddie. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family requests that attendees wear masks and observe social distancing protocols.
