She was predeceased by: her former husband Dr. William Frank Smith; her son Dr. William Keith Smith; her parents, Edgar Lee and Ruby Vandergriff Allison; her sister Carolyn; and her brother-in-law Lynn Rhea.
She is survived by: her husband John R. Griffin; her daughter Donna Smith Harmon; her son-in-law David Harmon of Cleveland, TN; her grandchildren, John D. Borders, III of Cleveland, TN and Kristen Allison Rivero; her daughter-in-law Debbie Rivero of New Orleans, LA; her great grandchild Stella Allison Borders of Wilson, NC; her brother Ed; her sister-in-law Charlotte Allison of Pensacola, FL; and her sons-in-law, Cheryle and Joe Miller.
